I know some people won’t be too happy, some of you will be very offended, but I must warn you, this is my opinion. On top of that, this will also be a challenge for everyone, those who want to join the fight. I won’t ask you to run, to bike, or to do anything that may be harmful to your health, because all these effort in those fundraisers are just a money making machine. Considerable amounts of money are cumulated which is never a bad thing. But guess who gets some of the money, big pharma corporation for new research and development of new treatments. I am afraid that these major corporations don’t want to cure cancer, they just want to make it more livable, tolerable.
Do you really think that these great big pharma corps wants us to be healthy? Do you really think that they want us definitely heal so we won’t need to buy there chemical drugs in order to feel better? I am really not the conspiracy theorist kind a guy, I just look at the facts. Some great doctors have practically heal cancers, but only to be shut down like the Anti-neoplastin, an anti-cancer cure from Bruzinski (may not be spelled right) The government tried to shut him down 6 times, in court. Their only defense was that they say he doesn’t have the right to administer it, not that it was dangerous or that it did not work. Burzinski doesn’t say he can save everybody but the treatment saves a lot and the rate of success is great, so it is very saddening when people tries to stop him when he evidently had great results.
They even did a research proving his treatment did not work, problem was that they didn’t even give a reasonable dose, thus no results and every participant died. They killed people to try and prove it did not work, even though they did not give the proper treatment just to prove him wrong. This is very disconcerting.
I saw something quite interesting, if you go on the Canadian breast cancer foundation, you can see that Revlon is a major sponsor. However, there is something wrong with the fact that Revlon is one huge cosmetic corporation. Why is it a problem, there is many evidence that breast cancer is most often hormonal, in other words, some kind of estrogen imbalance. Cosmetics are a huge problems and if we go back to our Revlon sponsors, all you need to do is go do a little research on the cosmetics database website to find that 931 of the 990 revlon products listed on the site has moderate to high hazard concerns. What are the concerns?
| HIGH concerns: Neurotoxicity, Endocrine disruption, Persistence and bioaccumulation, Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive), Multiple, additive exposure sources, Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs), Contamination concerns, Occupational hazards, Biochemical or cellular level changes |
And here’s the list of the ingredients of one of the worst, a face bronzer rated 10 on the database
Talc, C12 15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylyl Methicone, Cetearyl EthylHexanoate, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Diisostearyl Malate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, PPG 26 Buteth 26, Ethylene/Methacrylate Copolymer, Zeolite, Mother of Pearl, Topaz, Rose Quartz, Silica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, May Contain (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Red 28 Lake, Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Chromium Hydroxide Green (CI 77289), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Carmine (CI 75470), Red 7 (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985)
If you look closely, we have three major key players in cancer. Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben. What do they have in common, PARABEN! Parabens can mimic the hormone estrogen, which is known to play a role in the development of breast cancers. Researchers often found parabens in breast tumors and they believe that there is a relationship between parabens and tumors. In the July 2002 issue of the Archives of Toxicology, Dr. S. Oishi of the Department of Toxicology, Tokyo Metropolitan Research Laboratory of Public Health reported that exposure of newborn male mammals to butylparaben “adversely affects the secretion of testosterone and the function of the male reproductive system.” If a causal link between a chemical and cancer is not enough to avoid a product that can easily be avoided, then I don’t know what the hell it will take.
Some of you might think that I despise doctors and their treatments. Well let me tell you that you are greatly mistaken. I lost a great friend to knee cancer (the same as Terry Fox), and my mom is in remission from breast cancer, so the cause is very close to my heart. They helped both of them the best they could with different results. My friend with knee cancer went through hell and thanks to some bright and alert doctor; they helped him live a little longer to spend time with his two little girls. To make a long story short, he came in the emergency with pneumonia. One doctor noticed his swollen knee right away and wanted to have it scanned for precautions. Although my friend was losing it because he wanted to heal is pneumonia as fast as possible, they told him to wait until the results, which was a day or two. Came back with the worse diagnosis that you all know now. But it did not stop there; they had to cut his leg to mid thigh to stop the cancer from spreading. Try to tell that to someone who could fight five guys…on his knees….ex special force soldier….I will remember this for the rest of my life. Although it was a very tough time , he still got to spend one more year with his family before he passed away. Maybe now you understand why I put 2000% of my time into prevention and health.
Most facts about cancer are still vague, and no one has claimed to have found a cure, so research is still a big part of finding a cure, chemicals involved or not. I believe with all my heart that we must put all our effort into prevention. If you ask me, cancer is reversible, but the conditions must be just right, as the opposite is also the same. Everyone can get cancer if the conditions are just right. Abuse and you will pay, live well and healthy and you will keep disease at bay.
This post was inspired by a female client of mine who wanted to gain some lean muscle mass as she thought that in the last previous years, she lost a little bit too much weight. Although I told her not to do cardio as it may impair her ability to put on some lean muscle tissue, she still went with her hard head and did it anyways. Her excuse was that she did spinning and running for a cause, her friends who are fighting cancer, preparing for the spin-o-thon. My point of view is that doing endless sessions of steady pace cardio is damaging your health, promotes inflammation and oxidative stress. All this to fight a disease that promotes inflammation and oxidative stress if not treated correctly, what is the point of trying to fight something to end up with the same bad results. Keep your energy and just be there for your friends, all there, not tired or injured because you walked for 20 hours. I know a lot of people that did the walk a thon for cancer and came out of it injured. I know you will say that it is a small price to pay compared to what they are going through. What if you told them that you are trying to get as sick as them just to show them your support, they will probably think that you are very dumb and that it is not the solution.
Instead of going for a 20 hour walk or to run your ass off for a cause, take your money save your time and just donate. Donate to them, to research, help support them by being there. I am not trying to condemn these events as they are fantastic and uplifting, the only problem is that they don’t change the fact that we need to put emphasis on prevention, and it starts from your own self. I am not a big fan of endurance events just for the fact that people are not that prepared for it. It stresses the adrenals and puts toll on the nervous system. I don’t think that putting your own body to risk is a good idea if you want to make a difference.
My challenge to you is to really do something hard, which is change some of your bad habits. Walking lasts the amount of time of the event, and then you are done, life goes on, but habits take at least a week to get used too. Some people can’t function properly if they don’t get their sugar fix every single day. Take out this bad habit for them, and for yourself. Sugar promotes inflammation, and leads to type 2 diabetes, or worse. By doing this, you really show them that you are willing to change something for them, and that you better your health at the same time. Believe it or not, I’ve seen with my own eyes some cancers being completely reversed with some lifestyle changes and optimal nutrition plans. Genes are reversible, you are not stuck with what you have, you can always better your health. It’s not easy and never will, but it is possible. Make a real difference and do the same for your kids. Don’t wait until something bad happens, start living healthy now.
